Carnivore mozzarella sticks

CARNIVORE MOZZARELLA STICKS
Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella sticks cut into halves
- 1 cup pork rinds
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese finely grated
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg whisked
- 1/4 tsp salt
OPTIONAL: FOR KETO EATERS
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp italian herbs
Instructions
- Mix finely grated parmesan cheese, pork rind and salt in a shallow dish. Mix in herbs and garlic powder, if desired.

- Whisk an egg yolk and combine it with buttermilk in another shallow dish.

- Dip each mozzarella stick in the whisked egg, ensuring it's fully coated. Roll it in the pork rind mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for a thicker coating if preferred.

- Place the coated cheese sticks on a silicone mat or parchment paper-lined tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes. This prevents them from melting too quickly when baking.
- Preheat the oven to 425 F.
- Remove mozzarella sticks from the freezer and place on a separate baking sheet. Bake frozen for 5-8 minutes, until the cheese begins to soften. Too much heat can cause the cheese to leak, so monitor them closely. Take out of the oven and immediately place on a serving tray.

- Enjoy immediately for the perfect cheesy pull! Freeze extras for a quick snack later and just bake them straight from frozen!
