BEEF MILANESA

If you love crispy, golden BEEF MILANESA but want to skip the heavy oil and breadcrumbs, this air fryer version is your new go-to. Using crushed pork rinds instead of traditional breading makes it gluten-free, low-carb, and extra crunchy—without sacrificing flavor. With just a handful of fresh ingredients, you can enjoy a lighter twist on a Latin American classic right at home.
This recipe uses simple, fresh ingredients you already have in your kitchen for the same classic crunchy coating that is ready in under 20 minutes.
Thin slices cook best, so ask your butcher to slice the beef thin, or pound it gently with a meat mallet.
Don’t overcrowd—cook in batches if needed so the coating stays crisp.
Extra crunch—For an even crispier finish, drizzle lightly with melted butter before cooking.
This Beef Milanesa is everything you want in comfort food—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—without the heaviness of frying in oil. The pork rind coating gives an irresistible crunch while keeping the recipe gluten-free and low-carb. Quick, easy, and family-friendly, it’s a meal you’ll come back to again and again.
Give this lighter twist on a classic a try, and let me know how you serve yours!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef cutlets top round or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup crushed pork rinds for coating
  • 2 TBSP fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic grated
  • 1 tsp sea salt to taste
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pat the beef slices dry. If needed, pound the cutlets to an even ¼-inch thickness for tenderness and uniform cooking.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the beef cutlets.
  • In a shallow dish, combine grated garlic and chopped parsley. Coat beef cutlets with this mixture evenly on both sides, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Place crushed pork rinds in another shallow dish. Press each slice of beef into the crumbs, coating evenly on both sides.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
Arrange beef slices in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if necessary). Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2–3 minutes.
Serve hot with a side of lemon wedges, a simple, fresh salad, or roasted vegetables or a tangy chimichurri sauce for a vibrant meal. Garnish with extra parsley for a pop of color!
