Peeling and deveining your shrimp is really most of the work you'll do in this recipe and if you can find these already precleaned and ready for cooking then it won't get much easier than that! Mix all of the ingredients for the rub, put it on your shrimp and steam. That's it, you're done! Open the steamer lid and eat it right out of your steamer basket, it's so good, soft and delicious!

Equipment

  • 1 Steamer pot

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lbs extra large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 tsp garlic grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 TBSP lime juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup vinegar or 1 can of beer

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mix together paprika, garlic, Italian herbs, basil, salt, pepper and lime juice.
  • Carefully cover shrimp in seasoning mix.
  • Pour water, beer and place bay leaf in the bottom of a steamer. Bring to a boil. Add shrimp to the steamer basket, cover with a lid and steam for about 3-5 minutes or until they have a nice pink color.
  • Serve while hot. Enjoy!
